2013 Old City Songkran Festival

Venue: Around the island city (ancient city) and Wat Thong Bo in Tambon Sao Kradong, Phra Nakhon Sri Ayutthaya

Activities: Making merit and offering food to monks at Wat Mongkon Bopit, bathing Buddha images and the King Naresuan the Great image by pouring traditional Thai scented water (nam op). Bathing and paying respect to the elders. 

See the Old City Songkran parade and grandma beauty pageant. Splashing water with the elephants. Witness the parade of the Hongsa and Takhap flags and traditional Mon dressing. Making merit Mon style, and bathing Buddha images from bamboo at Wat Thong Bo.
